I have a hard time forgetting a story I heard on NPR some years back. A slave cemetery was discovered in Manhattan, and among the deceased was a child estimated to be of four years of age.
Upon examination of his remains, it was determined that this child had literally been worked to death.
At 4 years old he had never known a moment of his life that was not back-beaking torture. I'm glad he found peace.
Yes, Christians supported slavery at any price. Too many still would...
