After starting to smoke marijuana at 17, then spending most of the next ten years high, I feel I have a fairly good viewpoint about addiction, if only personally.
Yes, if you smoke a lot for a long time, then suddenly stop it can be difficult to get to sleep for several days. (I’ll absolutely click that box.) And it’s likely you’ll eat less and enjoy food less. And when I quite it was over a year before I went to a movie. I just couldn’t imagine they would be as much fun. But if any of that (beyond the sleeplessness) is an effect of addiction/withdrawal I’d be surprised. I can’t say I personally noticed the other issues.
Oh, and one thing I’ve not seen reported, but seems to be more or less universal among heavier smokers: it’s likely you will simply stop remembering dreams. (I went years without remembering a single dream.) Certainly for some that’s worth serious consideration.
Great stuff! Thank you.
