Alienating everyone is the precise strategy behind the concept of reaching "single issue" voters. It worked for the GOP in only about 20 years after being locked out of the south for 100 years following the Civil War. In that example, the single-issue was fear of Black Americans, and it still works to this day. (Google Southern Strategy.)

As I've said elsewhere, I suspect the GOP would attack God themself if they need to obtain the vote of the last "conservative atheist" left undecided. After all, single-issue voters ONLY care about their issue, and ignore all others. (Guns, abortion, immigration...hate.)

I wish it was not so, but after those supporting Frump began their race to the bottom in an attempt to be the MOST "under-educated" of them all, there wasn't much room left for nuance.
