And of course, some of us writing on Medium never receive a cent, while paying the full fee. (Simply meaning that some of us generate Medium revenue, but ALL of our fees go to other writers, or Medium profits.)

I don't mind doing so (obviously), but if some writers get extra payment in the manner you describe, perhaps some of us should be paying reduced fees?
