At that same time I was living in a hell-hole of a tiny south_Georgia town, and pretty much all my friends there were members of the LGBTQ community.

It was scary for all, but especially those most ignored by Reagan's evil. I was never able to fully imagine that degree of fear.....until now.

While not gay, (but very much an outsider) I'll always cherish the friendships I've shared with some of the kindest and most caring people I can imagine over my lifetime.. And I am so glad this song did so much to humanize those in such need at that time.
