Doesn’t Mueller’s final report, as laughingly “summarized” by William Barr, really just make a couple of undeniable points, and while forcing us to wait to discover more?
1. Putin is way smarter that trump.
2. There was undeniably collusion in some form between trump and agents of Russia (and Putin.)
Both points seem to be emphasized by Barr’s near denial of the very title Mueller gave his lengthy report: “Report on the Investigation into Russian Interference in the 2016 Presidential Election.” Yet despite the clear fact that the full report concerns Russian involvement, Barr’s report more specifically focused on a lack of involvement by the Russian government. And is anyone really surprised to find that Putin insulated himself very well by utilizing those not immediately or easily connected to himself? Well enough protected to possibly create something easier for Mueller to question than to confirm (at least in the title, the only part we know.) Referring to “Russian interference” instead of “Presidential treason” does more to say something absolutely exists than that Putin allowed someone he knew to be an idiot drag him down in his prime for no gain.
Obviously, speculation serves little purpose except as salve, and hopefully even if we never know the whole story, the battle will go far to confirm guilt for a public little effected either way.
