"For example, anti-vaccination content shared on Facebook could make it harder for public health officials to contain the spread of COVID-19."

While I have not confirmed, I recently read that the WHO considers "vaccine hesitancy" to be among the 10 greatest global risks to public health. While I make a facetious point elsewhere about laws as cancel culture, who would have ever believed that humanity, on a large scale, would have feared losing their right to cause global suffering more than they fear deadly disease.

"Health misinformation has received almost four times as many Facebook views as information from reliable sources."

My chiropractor (who should know better) preaches that skin cancer is not caused by the sun, but is instead caused by sunscreen. I use this as an absurd (but true, to him) example of how people seem to be more concerned about their freedom to say stupid, harmful things than they ever were about aiding humanity by saying helpful things. The simple fact that the spike in skin cancer began some ten years before the marketing of sunscreen should be adequate, but it seems logic and reality are side issues, at best.
