Gaming is absolutely awash with hate and racism. As a 35+ years PC gamer (who personally witnessed the horrors of segregation after being born in the deep south), I'd do almost anything for it to be otherwise.

Shortly after the George Floyd murder I went searching for a BLM player groups on the game site, Steam. While there were more hate groups (some distressingly, painfully obvious) than could be counted, I only managed to find two BLM groups, both inactive. (So I settle for wearing one of my large collection of BLM and progressive shirts EVERY TIME I leave the house.)

A close friend on Steam gaming site (10,000,000+ members) has now embarked on a boycott of Steam games, due to a game modeled after Kyle Rittenhouse , and described by its own developers thusly:

"Piss bottles. Bats. Bike locks. Face the media-manufactured outrage of braindead mobs in a fully destructible, randomly generated riot zone as you try to get home from court alive after each self-defense trial. "

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1954750/Acquitted/

Yes, a murderous youth murders more in order to return home from his acquittal for murder. A profiting from the Kyle Rittenhouse murders and acquittal that I entirely lack the words to express as I wish.

I wish with all my heart it was not the case that Steam (Valve) has consistently and repeatedly ignored suggestions that such "games" are not appropriate. (Though still living in the deep south, I sometimes would almost rather GIVE every racist a PC and all such games they might want if they would only engage in "game killing”. We all know that is tragically NOT the case.)

Thank you.
