I read or view because I respect the writer(s) or creator(s), and wish to share in their view, the most thought-out one, the one the entire work was created to convey.

And then I may watch again for other reasons. But that vision of the creator? That only happens once in its pure, intended form. After that it becomes tainted with the viewer’s opinion, memory and viewpoint.

But the first time is something sacred, if only out of respect.
