I still have fond memories of struggling to stay awake long enough to see Tiny Tim and Miss Vicky marry on the Carson Tonight Show.

Certainly one of the first performers (outside of the super-campy Batman program, and Laugh-In of course) to not only get the joke, but create the very concept. (I’ve no doubt there were others, like yourself, but I was very young, very rural, and isolated from that growing reality and likely would have missed many such valid and courageous attempts.)

I’m so happy for you (as someone I sort of feel I know, and absolutely respect) to have had such an experience. Thank you for sharing. As the world dies, such stories will become increasing important.
