I think most people had no idea which of the two movies that was "Thor: Love and Thunder" they were to focus on.

Humor has always been a part of MCU, but it's almost as if they but 100% of the humor in one half until it was like a flood (meaning, nothing stood out and it felt tiresome to many), and there was nothing left for the other half, resulting in something far more dry and serious than has been typical for MCU.
