I was buying a battery at Walmart, but without a battery to turn in. The result was, of course, a fee to, at least in theory, help protect the planet.

I mentioned to the clerk that the fee was a small price to help save our home. (Stewardship and all that.)

Her response was, "If climate change is real, God will take care of it."

I saw no point in asking someone with such a viewpoint, "If God can save an entire planet, how can his plan to end abortion possibly be the murder of abortion doctors?"

But I'm content with the answer provided on the very first page of the Bible. Life enters the body when breath is drawn, and not before.

And of course, abortion is also referenced in some detail, and church-supported, in Numbers 5:19–22. But I'm certain no one needs to tell you that.
