I was shut down very recently by a writer who claimed to be serious in his belief there is no God and even invited discussion. And I was very polite and respectful. But after dumping a load of opinion on me in his final response he closed with "This discussion is closed." (For me, he meant.)

My argument was simply:

If we exist, we were created. If we were created, it was by a creator in some form.

Therefore, the question is not “Does God exist?”, but rather, “Do we exist?” If we do exist, so does the force that created us.

He didn’t like that much.
