It does my heart great good to know that my near-lifetime home of South Carolina (Go Gamecocks! Hmmm…could that be part of the problem?) offered it’s antiquated and hurtful miscegenation laws for the good people of this wise state to shut down by vote. (Largely symbolic, but why would any state wish to appear stuck in a hurtful and federally illegal past?)
Yeah, we voted to shut them down for good……about ten years ago, and by a hatefully smaller margin than the very existence of humanity would seem to dictate. (I can’t find it, but as I best recall, around 60%, pre-Drumpf.)
Why are many people seemingly willing leave their deathbeds to vote for laws that serve no valid purpose, but ignore, or vote against any attempt at supporting the common good (as this surely is.)

Thank you.
