"It’s all a game to Trump and Musk."
A game? Indeed...
If we hear correctly (and I see no reason to assume otherwise) Trump was given a "pandemic playbook" (form not made clear) by Obama during the presidential transition. Unsurprisingly, Trump ignored it when Covid struck (which should be a surprise to no one), and 1,000,000 Americans died, many of them unnecessarily. (Well, other than to sooth Trump's fragile ego, of course.)
But what this seems very much to mean is that when Trump said, "Covid is a hoax", and "vaccines are dangerous", he knew better (for any number of reasons), and was saying so simply in order to contradict and oppose Obama's life-saving gift, and to generate chaos. (Has Trump ever acknowledged contributions by Black Americans in his life, unless they came from people expressing the same "loyalty" that is Trump's only apparent interest? Not that I've been able to find examples of.)
Studies indicate that some 200,000 people died in red areas of America above what statistics indicate should have died from Covid. specifically because of Trump's admonitions against concern. If true (again, it seems to be), then Trump was willing to allow 200,000 of his own voting, donating supporters die horribly (and alone) rather than acknowledge any contribution to America's benefit coming from Obama.
But then, Obama never freed hate-filled Americans (by the tens of millions) from centuries of sin and guilt by telling them that all the harm they ever caused or benefited from was the fault of some dark-skinned "others", and that all they have to do to be the world's greatest parent is to keep their children away from books and from gaining knowledge through a process frequently called "learning".
Thank you, Liza. Really important stuff. (LUV the drawing!)
