My biggest concern was the whole "white savior" thing.

And the white people were mostly called Mr. or Mrs. (but pretty much only the white people), and with no pushback from those characters, who generally called those same POCs by their first names.

Really surprising to me by a production willing to spend big bucks on such genuine talent.

Had that part of the story it might have been acceptable, but it seemed pointless in context.

That, and I was rarely certain what genre the movie was.

But I did finish it, so I must have enjoyed it more than the average Netflix show.
