"My nuclear family — my wife and my beautiful, goofy, five-month-old son — are not hitting the road to introduce our prince to my side of the family. His meeting of his grandparents, uncle, auntie, and great-grandmother will have to wait until we are inoculated; there will be no talk over collard greens boiled in neck bones."

I might suggest America (like yourself) notice the irony that the very people often most likely to exercise caution are also (statistically) the ones too often most likely to die due to circumstance placed in the hands of the most uncaring. ("What's death compared to owning the libs?")

I say this after noticing the crowds in the local, rural South Carolina Walmart for these many months. Those most likely to wear a mask? Black women. Then white women. Least likely? White men, then white women. This became far more noticeable on election day, and has remained at similar levels this week since. (Almost bizarre that the people most likely to utter the phrase, "All lives matter", clearly respect NO lives, not even those of their own family.)

But in America, what irony may have existed mostly died with Trump's lie about his inauguration crowd.

This week I noticed a group of three; two white women and a small white child. They spent several minutes grabbing great gobs of the provided wipes, then scrubbed down almost every inch of their cart. Then went off shopping, sans masks....

...as America sees record numbers of infections and hospitalizations.

Thank you.
