"Once the dog got into the school it did what dogs of his breed tend to do."

You knew this was coming, right? I LOVE the concept of your article, and have believed such concerning guns for half a century:

Well trained militia? Doesn't this mean that once you have received gun training on the military level, you should be allowed to keep your military-issued weapon?

But dogs tend to take on the personalities of their owners. I had a rottweiler that took up at my house as a pup, and my vet claimed that she (as an adult) was the sweetest rottie he had ever encountered. (And his entire staff agreed.) I showed her nothing but love, especially when she needed it most, and she never forgot.

I've been around many dozens of pitbulls, yet I have never experienced aggressive behavior.

The dog that scares me? A chow. So yes, I'll agree dogs can be dangerous. Exactly like guns, as dangerous as their owner. (Hey! I like that!)

Thank you most sincerely for writing a 99.9% outstanding article. (An important concept that should be shared among every American. Especially gun owners.)
