"One in five atheists believe in a higher power"

Respectfully, can anyone explain how this makes any sense at all?

Do they simply call themselves atheists because they don't believe in an old white man with a long beard sitting on a golden throne listening to billions of humans begging for stuff all at once? If so, I suspect that would skew the stats in a major way.

And it would have a significant impact on what I call my "proof of God":

1) Does man exist?

2) If so, we were created.

3) If we were created, it was by a creator,

4) So, if we exist, a creator also exists.

5) Thus God exists.

And I thought it was so simple...

Thanks, Dan!
