One thing that tRump learned, but thinking people have mostly yet to catch up on, is that being noticed is the only measure. I seriously believe that tRump cares little for the destruction of the world, as long as his name can forever be associated with such an act. (Every day provides further proof.)
It’s hard to be a Kardasian, but easy to kill. And while killing in itself is of distressingly little notice, hate killing is another level of notice altogether. And killing with a controversial weapon, such as an assault rifle? At least a notch up the scale. And then to be noticed for being noticed by haters? The notches begin to take on a life of their own.
People used to work for money, until the lottery and litigation were made to seem more viable.
People used to work for notice, as writers, performers or thinkers. Now all it takes is judicious killing (or even simply expressing the right hate)in hopes of getting noticed, so the notice will then be noticed. Even the lottery isn’t that easy.
