"Sane Republicans Are Jumping Ship"

I'm struggling to find some meaning to this phrase. Not facetiously, but with all the sincerity I can muster. I really want to believe there IS a, "sane Republican". (Perhaps among the 26 voting in favor of the USPS today.)
