Southern Strategy vs. Critical Race Theory

This is very brief, for now. Minutes ago I acquired The Long Southern Strategy by Maxwell and Shields, and I suspect I’ll have more to say. But for now, the idea is very simple:

It seems very simple to conclude that one of the aspects of America’s racial (and racist) past is the impact the Southern Strategy has had on the fortunes of the GOP, especially in the American south. Is this one of the realities that the far-right is most determined to keep secret with its War on CRT? (As the Southern Strategy was itself kept secret for decades.) Today, generally only the most extreme GOP surrogates still make the tired old claim of disbelief:

https://thehill.com/opinion/campaign/402754-the-myth-of-nixons-southern-strategy)

Why is it acceptable for the GOP to use the extreme racism of approximately 60 years (thus far) of Southern Strategy to consciously, violently and dishonestly weaponize race, yet CRT cannot be used simply to inform Americans (of every race) of the realities of racial history? (As the Southern Strategy continues daily, having moved out of the south to now sweep the entire nation with hate and lies.)

If some of you aren’t aware of the Southern Strategy, it can basically be summed up as: “Why does it matter if your whole white family is poor and starving? As long as we can promise that we will work to be certain that Black families in America will starve also, that’ll be just fine. Right?” As bizarre as this may sound, after a 100 year drought of elected GOP officials in the south, this evil strategy gave the south to the GOP in just at a single decade.

Please, how are the academic realities behind America’s racial history/CRT less acceptable than the outright lies that have caused the deaths of countless innocent Americans in the interest of political power? Could it not be argued that the Southern Strategy didn’t only cause endless hate crimes, but in theory also lead to the political deaths of possibly hundreds of thousands of Americans from coronavirus? And that seems to only be the tip of a huge iceberg of racist policies, official and otherwise, that must never be forgotten.

Thank you.
