Unfortunately, some of us who write about race and politics while living in the Deep South, surrounded by hate, do the same thing While caring for aging parents and loving an old dog I constantly worry about this house being burned to the ground, or said dog being murdered...because there is no real penalty for either act. At least not here.

I look forward to the day when I can use my real name.
