Since the “concerns of the modern left” can generally be distilled into two; justice and equality, I’d guess your number of people “touched” runs easily into billions.

Nearly everyone is denied both justice and equality in at least some form, and it surprises (and deeply saddens) me to discover that there are those who think otherwise.
