Though a long time Constantine fan (by way of nearly complete sets of pristine Swamp Thing/Sandman, and a few John I acquired for a pittance), this news is new to me, and very sad. (My comics news tends to be about 20 years out of date, despite a collection of 25K+ issues, Vertigo at the top of my list.)

In fact, perhaps in a moment of prescience, I had just begun buying the Hellblazer collections (starting with my first nine of them) in the past two weeks, and they haven’t been beyond my reach since.

The “Maggie while upside down” graphic felt warm and comfortable, like any super-villain once defeated. (I can only wish John could spent a bit of time in America’s newest swamp.)
