Today I went into my rural South Carolina grocery store, in a town of 500-600 with THREE gun stores (previously four, and a literal assault rifle factory story 3 miles away) wearing one of my approximately 15 Black Lives Matter shirts. (In fact, the shirt referenced by my Medium avatar.)

Not nearly the first time. And I recognize that's it's a normally a weak gesture. But I hereby commit to continue wearing these shirts the majority of the time I'm in public (and occasionally, one of my many other progressive shirts, as the occasions suits.)

At the very least, this movement will not be forgotten in this town. (Or the larger town nearby.)

I regret that my health is poor, so I'm unable to do much more. As long as I live (and drive) the BLM movement will NOT be forgotten in this part of rural SC. (Unfortunately, I rarely see any other indications of this urgent movement. Hopefully the half dozen shirts I've given away are being worn and seen.)

Thank you, Allison. You are a tremendous inspiration.
