When I was that age, instead of standing up to American citizens seeking their legal and moral due, I was beat bloody in a race issue in central Florida after a white man (as I am) burned down the DeLand Sun News (DeLand, FL) in order to blame it on Black residents, and begin a race war. (He failed.)

Just like me, Jones could have made either choice.

He made the wrong one.
