Wonderfully human observations, and I commend you for sharing them. We all need to experience such questions and concerns every day.

Personally, I can think of nothing more reprehensible than the murders of innocent women and children. Being state sanctioned makes it even more regrettable,and avoidable.

But as far as medicine goes, here in America millions of Americans are also going without critical medications, and most days there are suicides of those unable to bear the suffering further. It's true that we are not participants of a brutal war, but the suffering and death is far too similarly state sanctioned:

I don't mean to compare the two circumstances, but being part of an attack on my health and emotional security feels deeply regrettable, and far too easily avoidable.

I apologize for linking, but too many people are dying in agony.
